The ISCB Student Council is organizing the 6th ISCB Student Council Symposium to be held on Friday, July 9th, directly preceding the Tutorials' Day of ISMB 2010 in Boston, USA.

The Student Council Symposium is a forum for students and young researchers in the fields of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work to an international audience, build a network within the computational biology community and develop important soft skills in an environment that fosters exchange of ideas and knowledge.

There are still a few days to get your submissions in for the following.

Wellcome Trust to fund SCS-6 Travel Fellowships for students from Developing Countries

The ISCB Student Council has been able to secure funding from the Wellcome Trust to provide travel fellowships to the 6th ISCB Student Council Symposium (SCS-6). The Wellcome Trust made available $10,000 USD that will be used to fund four travel fellowships for students from developing countries. The travel fellowships will be given to outstanding applicants and will cover all expenses, including air fare and accommodation for SCS-6 and the main ISMB 2010 conference.
